What’s New

GreenFILE

The Serials Department is participating in the McNeese Goes Green campaign by bringing to you this exciting new FREE database from EBSCO. It is entitled: “GreenFILE.”

GreenFILE is a freely accessible research database focusing on the relationship between human beings and the environment. Comprised of more than 600 scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports, GreenFILE offers a unique perspective on the positive and negative ways humans affect the ecology. The total number of records is approximately 295,000, and full text is provided for more than 4,600 records from open access titles. Also included in GreenFILE is a 6,800-term Thesaurus and 5,000 author profiles.

Frazar Film

There is a wealth of educational films and videos on the Internet, but finding it isn't always easy. The Frazar Online Film Collection compiles some of the best freely-available movies, documentaries, news reels, historical footage, and lectures found online. Picked from sites as diverse as Google Video, YouTube, Veoh, Brightcove, TED and Internet Archive, each film is presented with suggested materials found in the library or on the Web.
