Library-Departmental Partnerships

Library Liaisons to the department act on behalf of the departments within the library by serving a centralized contact
person to serve and direct community members of their subject specialty to other library services.
They are active in collection development and manage special projects within their subject specialty.

Departmental Representatives to the library act as advocates for their department by centralizing
and forwarding the needs and concerns of the department to the library and by disseminating information
from the library to individuals within the departments.  They are active in collection development by passing
purchase requests from their department to the library.
