Shearman Fine Arts Center

McNeese built the Music Building in 1950, with additions in 1963, and in 1982 the Band Rehearsal Hall was erected. In 1991, McNeese renamed the building in honor of Flora I. and Thomas B. Shearman, Sr.  The Shearman Fine Arts Center houses the Visual and Performing Arts Departments within the College of Liberal Arts. Also located here is the Squires Recital Hall, named for Dr. Ralph A. Squires, and the Abercrombie Gallery, named for Lillie Frank Abercrombie in 1983. The Fine Arts Center is located between Sale Street and Calcasieu Drive.
