Smith Hall On the corner of Ryan Street and Lawton Drive is Smith Hall. In 1968, Butler & Dobson (architects) and Southern Builders, Inc. (contractors) constructed the circular administrative building. The President’s office was housed originally in Kaufman Hall, but with the construction of the new "Round Building," the President’s office moved there. In 1970, the Round Building was named for A.D. Smith, former president of the State Board of Education. It is currently used for the Offices of Administration, including Human Resources and the Cashier's Office.
