Sketch
Lady Marilyn
“Cissie” Qualls McLeod was born in 1937 to Mr. and Mrs.
Raleigh Carroll Allen. Her grandfather was Austin A.
Nelson, the first Director of the Lake Charles Harbor
and Terminal District. In 1962, Cissie McLeod married
William Lasater “Bill” McLeod, Jr. who was a State
Legislator and District Judge. The McLeods have three
daughters, Sara, Ruth and Martha.

Content Note
The Papers
consist of notes, clippings, photographs,
correspondence, ephemera, yearbooks, and certificates
concerning Cissie McLeod’s personal life; her family;
the First Presbyterian Church; and the Allen, Qualls,
and Nelson families.
