students with the building and its facilities. Sessions generally begin in the lobby of
the library and conclude on the second floor in Room A.
We would like advance notice of at least one week in order for librarians
to have adequate preparation time. Thank you.
In order to request a Library Instruction session, please contact

Library Liaisons to the Departments
A library liaison is a Librarian who is the
primary communication link between the Library and an academic department within the
University. The departmental liaison librarian acts as an advocate on behalf of their
assigned department and provides services such as subject-specific bibliographies, study
guides, and consultation in curricula and assignment design.
Library Liaisons
Government Documents Dept.
The goal of the Government Documents Department is to facilitate public access to
government resources in all formats. As a Selective Federal Depository Library, we collect
62% of the information distributed by the U. S. Government Printing Office. As a Complete
Depository for Louisiana government publications, we receive most of the information
distributed by the Louisiana Recorder of Documents.
