  • Do you have an idea that might help the Library better serve the McNeese community?

We want to hear from you.  You can leave your (anonymous) suggestions in the blue box in the Library or send an email to refdept@mcneese.edu.

Frequent Suggestions/Comments/Questions

1.       The Library is too cold/hot/bright/dark/brown/old, etc.

The Library is set to undergo a major renovation very soon. The renovation will repair the foundation, elevators, and the air conditioning system. Look for more details on the Library webpage, the newsletter, and the Contraband.

2.       Why doesn't the Library buy textbooks?

The Library doesn't purchase textbooks for the General Collection because we could never purchase enough copies for everyone for every class. We focus on supporting the research needs of the students and faculty and purchase books and other materials based on national standards for academic libraries. For more information on our Collection Management policies, see http://library.mcneese.edu/depts/colmgt/index.htm.

3.       The Library should open a bar/serve drinks/give away free stuff/write my papers for me.

We've heard that one. Very cute. Do you have any germane comments?
