The
CURRICULUM MATERIALS CENTER
is located in Farrar Hall (Room 228). It
enhances and supports the Burton College of
Education, serving both students and faculty.
The collection consists of elementary and
secondary curriculum materials, children's
literature, and books to support the Library
Science certification program.
Any registered
student, faculty, or staff member may borrow
materials from this collection. Loan periods
vary with
different
materials.
Equipment includes computers, televisions, and
projectors, plus a variety of software.
The
Curriculum Center has the following items
available for students to purchase:

- Folders (Pocket or Manila)
- Bluebooks
- Scantrons
- Copies
- Computer printouts
- Looseleaf Paper
- Construction Paper for Making Posters, etc. (Free)
- We provide @ no charge: use

stapler, hole-punch

MISSION
The Curriculum Materials Center's mission is to
play an integral role in the Burton College of
Education's educational endeavors. The
collection focuses primarily on teacher
preparation courses such as methods and
practicum offerings and the children's and young
adult literature courses for the Library Science
certification program. Capabilities for
technology use, research via computers with
Internet connections, and check-out of various
equipment is an enhancment for both students and
faculty. Opportunities for preparation of
teacher materials are provided. Hardcopies
as well as online copies of the Louisiana
content standards are also available.
