Finding Articles

EBSCOhost - Academic Search Premier (McNeese Restricted) - Indexes over 600 chemistry-related journals, some of which are full-text.
ChemWeb.com - Allows you to search over one million chemical abstracts. Although searching is free, registration is required.
Ingenta - Ability to search approximately 280 Chemistry-related journals. Note that most articles through Ingenta are available full-text. However, fees are charged per article. You may consider checking first whether McNeese carries the journal or if the article may be had through Interlibrary Loan.
PubMed - Large index to life sciences articles (including the MEDLINE index) many of which link to full-text. However, getting full-text usually requires paying a fee.
Directory of Open Access Journals - Includes chemistry-related journals that are freely available on the Internet in full-text.

Finding Books

McNeese Library Catalog - In general, chemistry-related Library of Congress call numbers begin with QD or TP. For more details, please see the Library Call Numbers section below.
OCLC WorldCat (McNeese Restricted) - This is a union catalog maintained by over 9,000 member institutions. It contains more than 52 million records.
Interlibrary Loan - If you find a material you are interested in and discover McNeese does not carry it, you may request it through Interlibrary Loan.
